MicroStep-MIS has traditionally a good relation to academic sphere as it belongs to group of spin-off companies (MicroStep group). MicroStep-MIS participates in this cooperation to make its products more competitive, to acquire the best experts to its development team and to make commercial work more attractive for its employees.

On 24th of February 2014 MicroStep-MIS obtained the Certificate of competence to perform research and development issued by Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

In adition, our specialists teach university courses, lead diploma thesis and we support student activities including contests for young talents.

The employees of our company have actively contributed to a number of past and ongoing research activities, and their results have been published in journals with the highest level of scientific recognition (indexed by ISI Web of Science, Current Contents Connect, Scopus).

The MicroStep-MIS within the SESAR Joint Undertaking cooperates on:
  • ATM (air traffic management) and ATC (air traffic control) Research and development
  • Systems for processing and distribution of aeronautical information
  • Air navigation system development

MicroStep-MIS is a part of B4 Consortium, which groups air navigation service providers from Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Slovak Republic, in position of linked third party of the Consortium member - Letecké prevádzkové služby Slovenskej republiky, štátny podnik (LPS SR, š.p.).
