: An inaugural flight from Muscat International Airport to the newly commissioned Adam Airport on July 23 was one of the highlights of the 40th Renaissance Day celebrations in the Sultanate of Oman.
A spokesperson for the Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) said on this occasion: “The Adam airport runway has 4,000 metres in length and 60 metres in width that meets the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), with a capacity to accommodate the largest aircraft in the world. Besides, this all the additional infrastructure of the highest standards is already in place.”
The infrastructure of the airport includes also the newly installed IMS 4 Airport Weather Observation System
, thus increasing the number of MicroStep-MIS AWOS systems in Oman to seven.
